Gneiss House is owned and run by Owen & Marigold Williams, who live in South Harris with their three children.  We own Isle of Harris Fine Art and have a studio/gallery on West Harris. The house interior, features artwork and decor by Marigold. The outside includes, natural stone cladding by Owen, who is also a stone mason with Williams Stone Craft.

 

Gneiss House, which is the only dwelling on the family croft, is named after the 3 billion year old Lewisian Gneiss, which gives the east side of Harris its unique rugged, moon like landscape.
